All aboard to the wonderland on the Straits of Malacca

This is how she looks Super Star Virgo
One of the largest cruise in South East Asia
Owned by Genting HK International

1st sight she's just an ordinary ship (big ship) to me but Virgo surprises us every day!!

With the view from the deck when Virgo embark at Harbour Front Singapore

Very futuristic view
from the Merlion Nation

Wanted to go there
to have the feel of
"The King Of The World"
butttt, it's locked!! =(

Room mate call me Bond Girl cause we stay in the "double O 7" room

1st surprise in the room welcoming us
 - Appreciation gift (Genting HK 20th anniversary)

Daily task
Check the daily program schedule
Keep the only property - Star Cruise card with me 24/7
(in my case is 24/4)
because this will be my identity cum credit cum passport redemption card

Ah, this reminds me of the ship of dreams
titanic

The Parthenon
Outdoor pool area - Mid

There's a party going on when the journey starts
"Bye bye Singapore, Hello FUN!"
and the crew & performers are cheering up the crowd
The ship is full with around 2000 passengers and 1000 crews
This trip 60% were Indians from India, 15% Japanese, 15% Chinese from Indonesia
and Malaysians & others fill up the rest

Leaving her  trail on the straits of Malacca
Love the turquoise  blue and white trail....

Pauline the Star Crew (from Philippines)
offered us a mini trip within the cruise
*Crew nationality: 35% Philippines, 30% Nepal, 15% Indonesia, 10% China, 10% others

The Captain Control Room
pretty much look like the Star Trek setting
Captain and his assistants are from Europe such as Sweden, Finland etc

Mini Star Virgo
13 decks (10 passenger accessible)

Embark in Phuket next night

Next morning in Langkawi

Have a little walk outside before lunch

Inside this ship
there are 9 lifts (3 in each section, aft, mid & fwd)
2 pools (1 adult 1 children)
2 casinos, 10 restaurants (cafes, bars...)
theater, gym, jacuzzi, spa, saloon, sauna,
game arcade, night club, mahjong room, library,
sundeck, basketball court, mini golfing.....

Snap before lunch (I'm really hungry, it's already 1pm!!)

When the cruise embarked in Phuket, we watched "The Hobbit"
In Langkawi, we watched "Skyfall" (nearly fall asleep......)
In the Lido Theater (it's also the venue for magic shows, musicals and other performances)
The shows are entertaining and it's quite good in terms of standard
Of course most of the "U rated" shows are included in the fee
However, there are also chargeable shows for adults... 18SX.. ahem
(find out yourself... I'm going with my family so we sleep early...=p)

The Gala Night
Meet the Senior Management of the cruise!!
-Everybody dress up
-Free flow of drinks (including alcohol) during cocktail session
-Guest can choose to have Western / Chinese dinner
-If you want to dinner with the Captain choose Western!

C deck: CDN. Champagne, Cruise, Cheers

Highlight of the whole cruise : FOOD!
Apparently, food are provided maximum 6 times per day
Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon Tea, Dinner, Supper
3 restaurants - Western, Chinese and Mediterranean Buffet (provide Vegetarian - Indian style)
We spend 2 mornings in the Chinese as they provide dim sums, delicious porridge and fried mee hoon (ah, the sambals!! yumz!)
1 lunch at the Western, with lunch set selection (appetizer, main and dessert!) others in Mediterranean buffet (the Dals is one of the best I've tasted!)
Food are good! probably due to the main chef is Malaysian. lol. There are also Italian, Japanese, American snacks, Bars, Gelato, Cafes in the cruise Chargeable....

Dad and Mom most preferable restaurant
The Pavilion (serve Chinese food)

but  I still manage to make us lunch - western style

Surprisingly, cruise is quite fun.
Everybody's wonderland.
Food, Shows, Entertainment, Sea view, Smiling faces...
Another wonderful memories to remember...
with love and laughter. =)
